RinkCoach started with a stack of hard-to-read practice PDFs and a simple question: what if every drill just showed you what to do?
Why I built it
I grew up playing hockey in Minnesota, and after college I started coaching Squirts. Today I’m behind the bench again for my three boys, who play Mite and 10U hockey.
The kids were never the hard part. The hard part was getting every coach aligned on the fundamentals that build strong skaters: the same skills, taught the same way, in the right order. Every coach had a different stack of PDF plans, and players heard something different depending on who ran the drill.
RinkCoach is what I wanted on the bench: drills players can see, plans that keep every coach on the same skill progression, and a quick way to make the next practice better than the last. It’s for the volunteer parent stepping behind the bench for the first time and for the experienced coach who wants everyone pulling in the same direction.
